Two L.A. nightclub scenesters, Georgia (Monet Mazur) and Paul (Carmine Giovinazzo), have figured out a not-so-new way to make money: the shake-down. After a chance meeting, in which Paul helps save Georgia from a possible date rape, the two discover that they make a great team, both as lovers and as con artists. Their plans for easy money go awry, however, when they stage a car accident to hustle the wrong guy -- Marshal (Vincent Ventresca), a ruthless record producer who has his own dastardly plans to swindle and steal, on a scale vastly larger than anything Paul and Georgia could have imagined. Marshal decides that this enterprising young con team can be of use to him, and instead of prosecuting Paul and Georgia, he puts them to work for him. He needs them to help him execute a plan to cut through some governmental red tape which is preventing him from creating a huge entertainment complex in downtown L.A. While Paul becomes increasingly involved with and excited by Marshal's schemes--and his sleazy, posh lifestyle--Georgia feels trapped and betrayed. Shot in classic film-noir style, this first effort by writer-director Eric Schwab is stylish and energetic, and makes great use of L.A. locations. [More]

uncharacteristically ambitious aims for a film that otherwise looks like nothing more than cheap exploitation thriller

Good, flashy visuals, but writer/ director Eric Schwab still has a long way to go in applying a strong story with characters that matter.

One of the cooler things about being required to watch lots of movies "sight unseen" is that occasionally something unexpectedly entertaining pops up.

Sets an intriguing low-key thriller into motion, then proceeds to resolve it in the most uninspired way possible.

Oh, that script by Mr. Schwab! As Cajun comic Justin Wilson says, 'He doesn't miss one damn inch of that road.'

The movie's all flash and formula, as original as the letter A.

Adds a layer of irony as the director makes one beginner's mistake after another -- revealing Schwab's own learning curve to be quite steep.
