Although graduation is near, his future remains uncertain. But for the moment there's the senior prom and first love to savor. Joy, the pretty Latina girl who lives next door, is the object of his affections. The two strike up a romance. But she is preparing to go away to college and their relationship could be short-lived. In hopes of bettering his prospects, Hank buys a lottery ticket that could be worth $27 million -- money that would allow him and Joy to leave their bleak neighborhood behind together. But the youngsters aren't the only ones in love, because Hank's dad and Joy's aunt, Flo, have fallen for each other as well. Then Flo learns that she sold the winning lottery ticket at her liquor store... only the lucky person doesn't step forward to claim the cash.
