As the jilted gigolo sues her for breach of promise, she turns to the greatest barrister in Britain (Olivier) to defend her. The barrister turns out to be a lost love who is still crazy for her. Following production of TRAVELS WITH MY AUNT and the 55 previous feature films that had made the director a Hollywood legend, LOVE AMONG THE RUINS was George Cukor's first made-for-television movie, and he went all out to give the film the star power and production values of a feature project.
