Lindsay Lohan to Show Up in "Mission Impossible 3"?
by Scott Weinberg | May 18, 2005
Discuss Article
It's a juicy piece of gossip that's been floating around the net for the past few days, but ComingSoon.net gets the citation because I just dig the site. Seems that controversial heartthrob Lindsay Lohan ("Mean Girls") let something slip while she was being interviewed on an L.A. radio station: she'd recently met with "Mission Impossible 3" director J.J. Abrams, for undisclosed reasons.

Combine this with the earlier news that Scarlett Johansson had to leave the project because of scheduling difficulties, and it seems that Ms. Lohan might soon be involved in some high-flying & spying heroics. Stay tuned, Lohan lovers...

Oh Lord, please let this be a rumor.
This project keeps getting worse. First, Joe Carnahan (Narc) leaves the project due to creative differences, I'm assuming, with Cruise. Then, Cruise hires J.J. Abrams, who is a TV director with no film experience, which is more than likely a disaster waiting to happen. Then, one of the most promising aspects of this film, which was the attachment of Carrie-Anne Moss and Scarlett Johansson to the project, went down the toilet with the signing of Abrams who couldn't start filming because of Alias filming. I didn't think it could possibly get any worse until I read this thread and found out I was wrong. It can get a lot worse.

Not thrilled with the Lohan thing, especially since she's been on the Jennifer Connelly "I was beautiful but I'll ruin that by getting incredibly skinny" diet.

The first movie was an absolute mess with count them 1 and a half action scenes. Not as good as people think they remember it to be. Robert Towne just didn't have what it takes anymore to write for these kinds of movies.

J.J. Abrams is perfect as long as he gets free reign. Just about every Alias episode this season seems like it can be a great 1 hour MI mission, in the classic "team" sense as opposed to the first two MI movies being heavily Ethan centric.

Uhh...The first movie was kick-a** ! Much rather have fewer action scenes and more story development than the reverse...

The sequel made me puke.

MI3 - hey! at least it isn't John Woo again... *whew*, but oh no! Lindsay Lohan! This is just horrible, unless she gets killed in the first 3 minutes...

wellll as long as shes not tom cruise's girlfriend in the movie it might be ok and if shes just a crazy computer nerd that would be fine but they really do have 2 put seth green in movies as computer nerds more often anyway as long as she dies sure

Sorry, in my opinion the first movie was both boring from an action standpoint as well as a mess plot-wise/story-wise. Not a confusing mess, but a pretentious and moronic mess. So unentertaining on both fronts. At least the second was entertaining from an action standpoint.

probaly won't be that good, most of anything out of Hollywood isn't. But speaking of Lohan, my favorite little cane sniffer is 18 isn't she? Maybe they'll just have her naked to bring an extra 20 mil to the Box office?

She's only 18? Wow. She certainly made it to fame at an early age.
