Physics professor Zach Sheffard has amazing telekinetic powers that he believes he has been able to keep secret. But FBI agent Ray Addison (Louis Gosset Jr.) knows, and is willing to blackmail Sheffard in order to get his help. Sheffard's task: infiltrate the rebel organization of telekinetics led by Adrian Geiger (Michael Massee). But while Sheffard does Addison's bidding, another FBI agent, Jordan Ripps (Teri Hatcher) discovers Addison's misdeeds and gets caught up in the intrigue.
