True to the decade in which they were created (the 1950s), the four features here possess all the ingredients for vintage charm: dated special effects, quirky miniature sets, cheesy dialogue, and even a few musical numbers. LOST CONTINENT (1951): Major Nolan (Cesar Romero) is the leader of an expedition to find a rocket that crashed on a remote island. But the crew finds more than a rocket when they climb atop the mountain and discover a prehistoric land populated by dinosaurs. THE GIANT GILA MONSTER (1959): When a Texas town is threatened by a gigantic lizard, a singing and swinging teenager kick starts his friends into gear to stop the crazed beast. SHE DEMONS (1958): A cruise party takes a wrong turn and finds itself on a remote island inhabited by a tribe of sexy, modestly-garbed She Demons. But there's more: Nazi agents, a mad scientist, a war criminal, and a serum that transforms human beings into hideous beasts. MONSTER FROM GREEN HELL (1957): A test rocket goes berserk in orbit and crash-lands in Africa. One of the many scientific experiments contained within the ship is a nest of wasps. The strange radioactive frequencies of space have contaminated the nest, mutating the insects and unleashing giant flesh-craving wasps upon the hapless natives. [More]
