The prime suspects, Tommy and Michael Skakel, were nephews of the Kennedy family, causing a nationwide media storm. The case, however, was never solved. In the late 1990's, detective Mark Fuhrman (Christopher Meloni) becomes obsessed with the case, and with the aid of detective Steve Carroll (Robert Forster), finally uncovers the mystery of the murder. A movie that manages to be mindless, aimless and boring with an effortless consistency.
Though [Robert] Forster doesn't have much to do here, he nevertheless manages to create a character that's far more intriguing than the central storyline.
