Consensus: Full of poop jokes, broad racial stereotyping, and other tired gags, My Baby's Daddy makes the absolute least of a decent premise.

Runtime: 1 hr 39 mins

Genre: Comedies

US Box Office: $17,215,064

Synopsis: Eddie Griffin, Michael Imperioli, and Anthony Anderson are Lonnie, Dominic, and G, childhood friends who continue to live like children. But when they find that they're about to become fathers,... Eddie Griffin, Michael Imperioli, and Anthony Anderson are Lonnie, Dominic, and G, childhood friends who continue to live like children. But when they find that they're about to become fathers, they must face up to a whole new set of responsibilities. Lonnie is the most uptight of the three, who soon realizes that his girlfriend, Rolanda (Paula Jai Parker), is more interested in partying than being a mother. Aspiring record producer Dominic is having a baby with Nia (Joanna Bacalso), but he soon discovers that she has fallen in love with her midwife. And then there's G, a wannabe boxer who is unable to commit 100% to his girlfriend Xi-Xi (Bai Ling). As the pressures of parenthood put an unbearable strain on Lonnie, Dominic, and G, they gradually begin to see what's important in life, and do what it takes to become responsible adults. [More]

Director Cheryl Dunye (The Watermelon Woman, Stranger Inside) has been fighting the good fight for years as an independent filmmaker, so I guess she's entitled to take the money and run.

There are some jokes here, and any of these situations could have been funny as skits. Taken together, they're incoherent.

The movie is overwhelmed by an odd mix of formula, stereotypes, and inconsistency.

[R]elative to My Baby's Daddy, the actors' recent projects, among them Kangaroo Jack and Double Take, look like comedy gold.

It’s offensive, unfunny, badly acted, badly written, badly directed, and remarkably, outstandingly, disturbingly stupid.

There's not a joke in the picture that isn't older than my cat.

Okay, it’s a light comedy, I’ll go along with the premise. But what stretches all credibility is that Miramax didn’t send this dirty diaper of a daddy movie straight to its room at Blockbuster.

This low-budget, low-class stinker rehashes the poop-and-peepee jokes of Three Men and a Baby.

My Baby’s Daddy takes an admirable premise -- three best friends and lifelong bachelors go from boys to men when they become fathers -- and undermines that message at every turn.

The antic, energetic performances are game, but they're overwhelmed by erratic pacing and disorganized writing.

A completely laughless comedy, it wants to be a mild message movie about the responsibilities of 'knocking up' one's girlfriend.

When one of the writers is nicknamed 'Coke,' I guess you have to expect this. But that still doesn't mean you need to be subjected to it.

The movie has no idea what to do with its premise, so instead it churns out scene after scene of tired slapstick.
