With its sentiments of brotherhood and peace, the filmmakers' hearts are in the right place. But Mystic India is a hybrid, trying to be all things to all people.

Reviews for Mystic India
This is an ultra-romanticized vision of a crowded, complicated nation.
The film celebrates India's diversity and makes a strong and moving plea for unity among the peoples of the world.
Colorful, respectful and features cinematography (by Reed Smoot) so flat-out beautiful that you’ll spend most of its 40 minutes with your mouth open.
At 45 minutes, you're left wanting more detail in the story, but with narration from Peter O'Toole, for whom the cliché about reading the phone book is true, it certainly never outstays its welcome, ending as an absorbing appetiser.
The real hook is Neelkanth, who serves as a compelling guide and evolves into a great Hindu leader.
Utterly fills the screen with wondrous images of a place that few will ever have the chance to explore this fully in person.
