In their cinematic debut, classic comedy team Bud Abbott & Lou Costello shine in supporting roles. Jim "Lucky" Moore (Allan Jones), an insurance salesman, decides to make some easy money by selling his friend Steve (Robert Cummings) a love insurance policy. The policy stipulates that if Steve's fiancee Cynthia (Nancy Kelly) refuses his marriage proposal, then Steve will collect. The policy, financed by nightclub owner Roscoe (William Frawley) seems like it can't fail, until Lucky begins to fall in love with Cynthia. Abbott and Costello play muscle hired by Roscoe to make sure that he does not have to pay out on the policy. The duo perform classic comedy sketches, including "Paid in Full." [More]
