Peter Hedges is in negotiations to make Jonathan Tropper's novel "Eveything Changes" his next project, according to Variety. The book centers on a man whose feelings for his best friend's widow make him unable to commit to the woman he's currently involved with. Hedges' most recent project was 2003's "Pieces of April," which starred Katie Holmes and Patricia Clarkson.
