Review Revue: Can Traveling Pants Derail Pineapple Express?
by Jen Yamato | August 08, 2008
Blog Article | Discuss Article
Summary

This week two doobie-smoking heroes might just give Batman a run for his money, as Pineapple Express opens to considerable fan anticipation. But don't count out the plucky, denim-swapping girls of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 just yet! Watch to see what the critics are saying in this week's Review Revue! Back to Article

The real question: Will sales of Pineapple Express like substances be way up this weekend? I saw Pineapple Express in a crowded theater Wednesday evening. The crowd seemed to have consumed a great deal before entering. There were also a lot more women in the crowd, it seemed to have a wider appeal than I expected. Maybe it has a chance against the Dark Knight. Of course both pictures will kick Traveling Pants' pants.

SISTERHOOD OWNS SEX & THE CITY!!!!!

Sorry, I saw the first one and I thought it was really good. For PINEAPPLE, The first half hour kinda dragged, but once after that I thought the flick was pretty awesome.

The new guy is too low-key. Too quiet. The dynamic isn't working. I think what you need is a wise guy. You need that kind of spark to supercharge the discussion.

The animated Star Wars movie is gonna suck. I mean really suck. Hopefully it won't suck as much as the Clone Wars TV series did. (Come on. It had a good director, but the acting (both voice and animated) and the script were total crap.)

I just can't get into stoner movies. I hope Dark Knight shoves the Pineapple right up the Traveling Pants' posterior.

Wow I am not even going to dignify Pants with an analysis. I was going to see Pineapple with my dad, but they had cops at the theatre and they weren't letting anyone under 17 in, even with a parent.

How could the cops not let anyone under 17 in, if they were WITH a parent? That's ILLEGAL, you know.

Don't you only have to be 17 to see an R rated movie? I'll answer my own question, yes. You got hoaxed Sasquatch.

Anyhoo i think Pineapple is going to be TDK, but not by much. It was a solid comedy and there was some good buzz surrounding it.

hopefully the Pineapple is going to take away some from Pineapple, then TDK can beat both

I hope I sh#t myself a pair of tiffany gold cufflinks, this weekend.

...at least I'm talking about something that's at least *theoretically* possible; I just have to swallow gold cufflinks.

And the answer is no. The Dark Knight is still the champion!
