I agree... and I'm still looking forward to seeing his son's project "Gedo Senki" first.

I haven't seen "Howl's" yet, but "Princess Mononoke" is probably my all-time favorite animated movie.

"Howl's" is worth seeing if your a fan of Miyazaki, but it is definitly not on the level of "Mononoke" or "Spirited Away". It lacked the wonder of his previous films, as well as a good narrative. The visuals were well drawn, but were very obvious and on-the-nose, not that imaginative at all.

The talking fireball was simply pathetic

Myazaki is the greatest animator in the world, I hope his next film will be an improvement

I agree about what you said about "Howls" up to the fireball, I don't know why but I actuly quite liked it, sure it was very holywood american like but I still thought it went well with the movie as a whole.

Yes, as mentioned, every news about a new Miyazaki film is great. He keeps saying he'll stop and retire, but he always comes up with a new idea for another film. I loved Mononoke, for its immersion into the story and background. Spirited Away was a little too non-sensical for me, although very mesmerizing.
