RT Exclusive: Gerard Butler and Hilary Swank in P.S. I Love You Clip
Fancy some karaoke?

Talk about role variety. After defining movie machismo for the new millennium with 300, Gerard Butler's next film is...an unabashedly romantic weepie, co-starring Hilary Swank? Believe it, because we've got an exclusive clip for P.S. I Love You, out in theaters this Friday.

Click for the clip!

Butler stars as Gerry Kennedy, roguishly charming Irishman who has recently passed away from illness. This sends wife Holly (Swank) into a spiral of grief, putting her well on-track towards becoming a lonely, crazy cat lady. Then, on Holly's 30th birthday, she starts receiving inspirational letters, cassette tapes, and telegrams from her late husband, all part of a well-planned postmortem trip by Gerry to send Holly onto the road to recovery.

While the commercials and trailers are quick to play up the celebratory spirit of the movie, our clip shows that all was not always well in paradise. Butler is on stage doing drunken karaoke and afterwards dares a quietly seething Swank to come up and join him. Will Butler quit his yammering? Will Swank find the courage to cast off her inhibitions and sing some Rick Astley?

Find out by clicking here for the clip! P.S. I Love You hits theaters this Friday.

I was prepared for a crap movie based on reviews (and not so stellar trailer) but the movie was actually very moving, with some fun comedic moments. I went back with my sister and another friend and liked it even better the second time. I recommend it, don't let the hardened critics lead you astray! :)
