Sharon, a telephone operator deeply unhappy in both her work and her personal life, seeks relief from her pain by engaging in frequent, anonymous sexual encounters. Then, during one of her erotic adventures, she meets Randy, and unexpectedly discovers in him a man eager to transform her empty world through love.
