John Huston directed and narrated most of this documentary from the island of Adak for six months with his camera crew. Adak was a bomber base for raids against Kiska Island, of the Japanese. Huston and his crew came very close to getting killed during one of those raids while shooting a crucial and very real bombing scene. He captured the value of the troops back at the base during the destitution of this horrible war. The sacrifice, the bloodshed, the commitment, the strength, and the intensity these brave men gave up for their country is all well documented and portrayed in REPORT FROM THE ALEUTIANS. [More]
