Rumiko Takahashi is the creator of popular mega-series such as INUYASHA and RANMA 1/2, and this anthology Animé provides a contrast with single episode short stories. The stories are both comedic and dramatic, and largely avoid the fantasy and science fiction elements that pervade most Animé, instead concentrating on naturalistic, slice-of-life narratives that explore the changing Japanese culture.
