i understand that not everyone likes every movie but when a movie that you do not like makes money does not mean the world is ending. Hell look at Superman Returns, the second worst comic book movie ever yet it made money and i did not think the world was ending. Get over it internet nerd

Im not surprised that Stardust did poorly. However, in the long run of things it's going to be that movie that everyone has seen on tnt or other cable stations in 3 years. The movie has that "princess bride" spell that people will see it and wonder, "Why did this do so poorly at the movies?" The answer. Rush Hour 3 came out the same day and it was buried by a crap movie. Stardust is by far the best diamond in the ruff movie of the summer.

Just remember A Christmas Story did crap for tickets sales and is now the biggest movie at christmas time.

oh, hey the loser is back! won't you ever go away adkkon 3 because we are all

sick of your annoying insults of a movie that was pretty damned good. and now acting

like a crazed junkie, you have to talk about every thread you go on? loser, you need

help and fast. oh, and some punishment, hmm ... lets see, ah! Here you go, i sentence

you to watch nonstop the real worst comic movies of all time and don't forget that

to watch howard the duck a couple extra times just in case you might realize what an

all time comic book movie adaptation looks like. Oh, and mr spacey, has something to say

"WWWWWRRRRRROOOONNNNNGGGGGG!" Man, even i am getting tired of it but hey spacey scares

me. so, adkkon, please find your brain and maybe then you'll be able to comprehend

why people like movies like superman returns and hate you!!!

if you've seen rush hour 1 or 2...you've already seen the 3rd. i laughed maybe...3 or 4 times. there was nothing hilarious, nothing original...and i hope there's not a 4th. put it THAT way.

Superman..."second" worst comic book movie ever? you can say ONE of the worst, but with gems like Ghost Rider and Catwoman...you can't say SECOND. if you saying its worse than those two(amongst others) then we know you're just hatin' for the sake of hatin'. those two ESPECIALLY...are in a league of their own

Saw Rush Hour 3 yesterday

It was just like the other 2, but I liked the other 2. You shouldn't see a movie like Rush Hour 3 for oscar winning material. It felt contrived on several scenes, but it had a familiar and comforting 80's buddy action movie style about it. It was a fun movie.

It deserved a little better than 19%

I don't know about others but I enjoyed rush hour 3,mainly becoz after watching so many special effects movies it was g8t to watch a movie mixed with comedy and action.Chris tucker is amazing as in the previous installments and chan and tucker mix still got hte magic and thee humour.

Being one of the most odd team ups ever rush hour 3 is definetley a movie goer must watch becoz its movie that uu can have a nice laugh and come out of the theater smiling and satisfied.

I watched both Stardust and Rush Hour 3 this weekend, and I enjoyed Stardust ten times more. I actually think I laughed just about as much in Stardust as I did in Rush Hour 3. Not to take anything away from Rush Hour 3, I did enjoy it just not as much as Stardust. I thought it was better than the second one, but not as good as the first. I was just very disappointed to see that Stardust did so poorly at the box office, it was definitely one of the better movies this summer.

You really hit the nail on the head tick0. In a few years, Rush Hour 3 will fade away into obscurity, but Stardust (much like the Princess Bride, or, more recently, Serenity) is going to have staying power and die-hard fans.

hey, now that the loser is gone back to important things and man oh man i

can't believe cris tucker has gotten rich off his increasingly tired act. even chan

seems uninspired anymore from this overated comic and perhaps the director. on the other

hand i saw the simspons and i was a pleasent surprise! it was a fine adaptation and

i think it did the series more justice than the actual series has not done for a long

time! still, i wish lisa was given a better storyline and of all the secondary

characters i miss sideshow bob the most, personally! i mean when it comes to simpsons

guest starts there are a holy three that rank above all others: 1)Phil Hartman, god

rest his soul 2)Kelesy Grammer 3)A. Brooks. so, obviously with no way of putting hartman

in it i was thrilled to see brooks in it because his scorpio guest episode is one of

the best episodes ever and he did a fine job. but still i wish bob would have somehow

played a role in trying to destroy springfield or at least some attempt on bart's life.

Green day was okay and hey even plopper the pig was good, which surprised me. oh,

one more thing in the end dr. nick was killed does that mean he's dead?! because its

about time, jeez he's killed way too many!

oh, by the way i almost forgot, the simpson movie was not better than south

park. sorry, so the simpsons twice and reviewed south park again and i just felt it

wasn't topped. south park had better songs, i know thats unfair comparison, better

climatic battles and oh much better rvelations(seeing kenny was a great treat the

simpsons didn't match). now does this mean that south park is a beter overal show well

i believe so IF the simpsons keep making worse amd worse seasons. i hope they rebound

but hey south park ALSO needs to keep making good seasons and its last one wasn't

exactly a slam dunk as one. so, in the end, south park movie 3 and half stars and

simpsons three stars, both succeeded in honoring their show but s.p. did it better. Hey,

i can't wait to see a real family guy movie but for them to ever catch the big two

animated shows of the last generation, i would think they would need at least a GREAT

movie and six more good seasons! well, signing off and once again thanks matt groiening

for the wonderful experience but even more to matt and trey for their endeavor!

Rush Hour 3 was alright doesn't really add anything new though, not as good as the first two but if you just want a popcorn flick you could do worse, plus Chan has some cool stunts of course and he sings. Also saw Rescue Dawn which was pretty good, great acting just wish it had a little bit more and it could have been great. Definitely gonna go see Stardust this coming weekend.

Nalindra...you're misspelling misspelt words. G8t? Uu? Becoz? If you're going to attack the English language, at least make an honest effort to do so.

It's kind of a shame that Stardust did so poorly. I thought people would delight at a movie that wasn't a remake/sequel/adaptation, but I suppose not. Well, guess that means we're in for even more remakes, sequels, and adaptations. Hooray?

I actually do not agree with you that this summer has largely been crap. This summer we have a lot of mainstream Hollywood movies garnering great critical reception, not to mention great box office results. The fact that there is no indie breakout so far plus the fact that there are so many quality indie films bombing proves it.

How can anyone proclaim that any movie will disappear in obscurity without any real test of time whatsoever??!!

When the May 3quels mostly disappointed, everyone became worried about the rest of the sequels bombing commercially. Well, OCEAN's THIRTEEN sort of almost halted the increasing downward spiral by dropping only less than 5% from its predecessor, then FANTASTIC FOUR 2 accelerated the dropoff again (slightly less than 20% drop), but pulled back up by a reinvigorated Bruce Willis and the DIE HARD franchise, HARRY POTTER 5 almost catching up to HP4 now, BOURNE ULTIMATUM is now destined to top its predecessor by at least 20%, but then DADDY DAY CAMP bombed and now RUSH HOUR 3 also tracking to gross about less than 1/3 of its predecessor.

We really have a mixed bag here, but I am just glad that we have a wide range of winners both commercially and critically post-May.
