Consensus: Dragged down by a plot lacking any sense of logic and obnoxious, unsympathetic characters, this comedy is more crude and mean-spirited than funny.

Synopsis: Darren Silverman (Jason Biggs, AMERICAN PIE) and his pals Wayne (Steve Zahn) and J.D. (Jack Black) are close friends since high school who perform together in a Neil Diamond cover band. Enter... Darren Silverman (Jason Biggs, AMERICAN PIE) and his pals Wayne (Steve Zahn) and J.D. (Jack Black) are close friends since high school who perform together in a Neil Diamond cover band. Enter Darren's shrewd psychologist bride-to-be Judith (Amanda Peet, THE WHOLE NINE YARDS), who constantly schemes to keep Darren from hanging out with his old slacker buddies. Anxious to hold onto their right to spend time with Darren, Wayne and J.D. decide that they must stop at nothing to prevent the wedding from taking place and reunite Darren with his first love--who is about to become a nun! Dennis Dugan's (HAPPY GILMORE) comedy attempts to harness the white-hot comedic talents of Zahn and Black, throwing in an inspirational appearance from Neil Diamond himself, to tell a hilarious tale of undying friendship. Reviews for Saving Silverman
The audience is one who needs saving, not the title character, in this latest entry in the look-how-dumb-I-can-get comedy sweepstakes.
Peppered with naked senior citizens, trash-talking nuns and a bloody plastic surgery operation, "Silverman" will be best enjoyed by people who truly believe "gross" and "silly" are synonyms for "funny"...
Mulher Infernal não é apenas uma comédia mal realizada e sem a menor graça. É, também, uma produção capaz de insultar a inteligência do espectador a todo momento.
Silverman is the newest "comedy" from director Dennis Dugan who has made such other "hits" as Big Daddy, Beverly Hills Ninja, and Happy Gilmore.
