New Images: "Transformers," "Shrek 3," And More!
by Jen Yamato | April 13, 2007
Discuss Article
Peep this batch of updated photo galleries for even more eyefuls of Autobots and Decepticons ("Transformers" in action!), animated green ogres ("Shrek the Third"), SNL's new kid on the block ("Hot Rod"), and Neil Gaiman's fairy tale come to life ("Stardust").

We've got the newest pics released by Paramount for their upcoming summer slate, which promises a mixed bag of genres to choose from: nostalgic big screen robot wars, Shrek, Andy Samberg's feature debut, and the magical adventure that will be "Stardust." Dig in!

First up: "Transformers"! You'll have to wait 'til Independence Day to see Michael Bay's uber-explodey Autobot-Decepticon showdown, so chew on these new "Transformers" images for a while. (Click pics for more images!)

Next up, we've got new pics from DreamWorks' "Shrek the Third," in theaters May 18. In the third installment, Shrek (Mike Myers) and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) find themselves the reluctant rulers of the kingdom and go searching for their royal replacements.

Donkey (Eddie Murphy), Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas), and Artie (Justin Timberlake)

A bevy of storybook princesses, including Snow White (Amy Poehler), Cinderella (Amy Sedaris), Sleeping Beauty (Cheri Oteri), Rapunzel (Maya Rudolph)...and Doris, the Ugly Stepsister (Larry King)

If you're a fan of "Saturday Night Live" (and even better, any/most of the "SNL" big screen flicks) then take a gander at "Hot Rod." The pic stars neophyte "SNL" thesp (and "Dick in a Box" collaborator) Andy Samberg as Rod Kimble, an amateur stuntman a la Evel Knievel who must stage death-defying stunts in order to save his ailing stepfather...and prove himself at the same time. Isla Fisher, Sissy Spacek and Ian McShane co-star in the flick, out August 3.

Finally, check out new additions to the "Stardust" photo gallery for images of Charlie Cox, Robert De Niro, Claire Danes and Michelle Pfeiffer in the adaptation of Neil Gaiman's fantasy adventure.

Cox stars as Tristan, a love-struck English lad who embarks on a journey to retrieve a fallen star -- only to find out said star is a woman in the form of Claire Danes. Add to that a bevy of pirates, witches and romantic complications, and you've got "Stardust," in theaters August 10.

So GI Joes are basically toys fighting too then. Add to that any franchise that has spawned a toy line. And then the light dawns suddenly on the implications of your argument. Stick to story, chief. We're talking about stories here. And the story is about giant alien robots, not toys. You wanna talk about Toy Soldiers being stupid because they're "fighting toys", then lets go. But that argument doesn't fit Transformers.

Instant erection. If the movie has the same vibe as the picture then I'll tell ya...we're in for a jaw-dropping, mind blowing, outrageously destructive pieace of popcorn cinema. I don't care what some people say about Bay, he is one good director. The Island was good, the script sucked. Armgeddon was definately the movie of the year. His only flaw he cuts too fast sometimes and it kinda takes you out of it.But it's lookig good.

SHREK IS SHIT.
Shrek is BORING. The animation is the same. The Jokes are repeated and friggin' old and uninteresting and un-funny (bashing Disney is growing old, now that they don't have a monopoly on cartoon flicks)!

It's crap. That WALLACE AND GROMIT clay-animation movie was funnier and atleast far more orignal. Mike Myers needs to do some roles where we get to see his ugly face, instead of just hearing his accents-fueled voice...
