In Episode 79, "Turnabout Intruder" (the series' final episode), a scheming female scientist uses an ancient alien device to trade places with Kirk and take command of the Enterprise. Episode 99, "The Cage," Kirk's predecessor Captain Pike (Jeffrey Hunter) attempts to rescue a crew from earth, but is imprisoned by aliens. This episode was reconstructed using black-and-white footage from Gene Roddenberry's workprint and color footage from "The Menagerie" (Episode 16). As a bonus, the full color version of "The Cage" is also included, which restores the rediscovered color footage from the original pilot. [More]
