Metafact writes: on Jun 07 2007 05:29 PM *Groan* None of the three opening films have any appeal to me. Ocean's Thirteen is an unnecessary threequel to an unnecessary remake, Surf's Up is just a shameless attempt to replicate the success of Happy Feet, and Hostel: Part II looks to be the same plotless gore-porn as its predecessor...only with a misogynist point of view. No thanks. (Reply to this) |

villain78 writes: on Jun 08 2007 03:11 AM Finally I disagree with you there Metafact. I just saw O13 at a midnight screening and it was great. Finally, a movie that isn't geared toward geeky fan boys! I also noticed that the crowd was slightly older than the crowd for Pirates and Spidey. (Reply to this) |

Bigbrother writes: on Jun 08 2007 05:36 AM For those who were so jonesed about The Prestige last summer. Watch Oceans 11 and see how a misdirection is supposed to be executed. Lets hope 13 takes after 11 more than 12. No French guys please. (Reply to this) |

nalindra writes: on Jun 08 2007 05:47 AM I agree Ocean's 13 may not have great special effects but it definetely has a enticing storyline and sleekness that no other movie had.Pirates, shrek and spidey they all relied on special effects but this man is awesome.I don't know how to say it but the movie was so cool and filled with witty humour that I didn't even feel 2 hrs passing. In the end I felt sad that the best heist movie came to a satisfying end as a trilogy but still its the most enjoyable movie I've seen so far in a era where special effects is used jus for sake of using it.witty humour, great actors and an impoissible heist makes ocean's 13 the best summer movie so far. How do u steal half a billion in 3.5 minutes.Simple go see ocean's 13.yeah.......... (Reply to this) |

EmmG389 writes: on Jun 08 2007 06:25 PM Knocked Up I hope there isn't any mix up with Knocked Up and Surf's Up this weekend. Some moron is probably going to accidentally bring their kids to the wrong movie any ways, which is either hilarious or downright wrong. I really hope Knocked Up gets number 3. This weekend is Surf's Up at #1, Oceans 13 at #2, and then Knocked Up at #3. I don't think any one is that hyped for Hostel unless you enjoy watching two castration scenes. (Reply to this) |

haelohm writes: on Jun 08 2007 08:05 PM hmm well since Surfs Up is only coming out 7 months after Happy Feet, and it takes about 2-4 years to make a CGI animate movie, i think its safe to say that it isnt being released just because of the success of Happy feet... As for Oceans it was a great movie, saw it today and was entertained the whole time, I highly recommend it. Oceans will win the weekend with about 42 mil Surfs up with about 23 Pirates with about 22 Knocked Up with 21 & Hostel 2 with around 17 (Reply to this) |
