An Early Look at Will Ferrell's "Blades of Glory"
by Scott Weinberg | September 26, 2006
Discuss Article
Will Ferrell has a new comedy due for a spring release; it's called "Blades of Glory" and not only is it a flick about male figure skaters ... but it's got a supporting cast just like the ones found in "Anchorman" and "Talladega Nights."

Plot synopsis courtesy of WorstPreviews.com: "At the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, two rival world-class men’s figure skaters (Will Ferrell and Jon Heder) disgraced their sport with an all-out brawl. Consequently, they were both banned from the men’s singles competition for the rest of their lives. After three long, arduous years away from the sport they love, they attempt to put aside their differences and team-up in an effort to exploit a loophole in their suspension. It turns out that there is one category in which they can both still compete – pairs figure skating. Of course, that event is usually reserved for opposite-sex couples and the duo is sure to find fierce competition from rivals far more experienced at the art. Stranz (Will Arnett) and Fairchild (Amy Poehler), the uncompromisingly competitive reigning pairs champions, comprise one such team."

Also in the cast are Jenna Fischer, Romany Malco, William Fichtner, Craig T. Nelson, and Nick Swardson.

Check out WP's rather extensive preview right here. "Blades of Glory" is scheduled for a March 30th release date.

Yeah, I feel sorry for his parents who must have figured he would have grown up by now.
All you have to do is look at the poster for Anchorman. Funny stuff alright.

Lets hope this film sees Will F on the form he shows in old skool and anchorman rather than that shows in talladega nights and that god awful kids football one. I will go into this one with my fingers crossed though the idea of it sounds funny enough

I am reely excited for this. Almost the entire cast is great. Will F. obviously, then Will Arnett who was in Arrested Development. Both him and Amy Pohler are great. Also, Jenna Fisher, she plays Pam in The Office. So im definitely excited.

Will Ferrell is not funny.
Will Ferrell is not funny. I put him in the same category as Adam Sandler. Unfunny on Saturday night live and still unfunny. That these two guys are rich and succesful proves that 99% of Americans are fucking idiots. I also hate all these fucking PG-13 comedies and horror movies. I refuse to pay to see these at theaters. Wait until DVD for the deleted funny adult scenes to be added back in.
