who knows...

I still don't think McG can pull it off

Teaser reminded me to much of Charles Angels...

So, what happened to the T-600 being the antagonist for this movie?

Although this guy has some big shoes to fill, I suppose there is an irony that an Austrian bodybuilder would replace Arnold.

Synth, what about the trailer reminded you of Charlie's Angels? I didn't catch that connection. Though I still harbor serious doubts about McG's ability to handle any franchise of this size, I didn't think the trailer was all that bad.

This is a horrible decision. I'd rather not see or hear any reminder of the T-800 at all. I'm just at a loss for words right now....

John Connor "DOESN'T KNOW if the Terminator is a bad guy or not"? WTF? Has McG even SEEN the Terminator movies?

I think it's sort of cool they cast another Austrian bodybuilder to play Arnold's role...I can live with it...if you're going to recast, then why NOT recast someone who even played Arnold in a biopic. The trailer isn't horrible, but I still say the ONLY reason to see this film(and McG knows this, I'm sure) is for Christian Bale. We'll just have to see what happens.

Damn it Arnold, this is your fault. I thought this governer phase was a temporary thing.

Come on people. If they want someone to look like Arnold, they could do a helluva lot worse. The fact that they are casting an "Arnold Terminator" is a bit of a spoiler in itself though.

They could do worse than have this guy aping Arnold. Depends on what they do with it. Trailer is alright, not too much info (which is perfectly appropriate at this point).

I remain--as a I so often do--cautiously optimistic.

If this movie sucks and McG further sullies this franchise, I reserve the right for James Cameron to summarily execute McG in a public square by crushing his body in a hydraulic press and then dropping his carcass in molten steel.

While an angry crowd mills around chanting 'You're terminated, f#cker!'

Ah, how ****in' bad can this film be? All right, I'll admit that McG's second "Charlie's Angel's" film was - as everyone figured - not up there with part one. But I saw bits of "We Are Marshall", which was pretty decent (did I mention I didn't watch the whole thing?). Besides, anything with Christian Bale cannot be deemed suckworthy... especially at this moment.

Shame, though, he won't reprise his role as Batman in "Justice League of America" - now we got a kid fresh outta college doing that. But, who knows, maybe what Warner Brothers/DC is doing right now could shake Bale out of his up-his-*** mentality. Who cares if Nolan's "Batman" films aren't supposed to intertwine with "Superman" - they're DC property. But I'm getting ahead of myself...

hmm... I'm still not bought into this movie. I don't see casting this guy as that bad of an idea though. He seems to look the part at least.

They said that the movie takes place before the T-800 human form was perfected, where the T-800 still could be told apart from other humans. They should wait until the sequel (since there is supposed to be a trilogy) and put Arnold as like a minute cameo at the end of this one to get everyone pumped for the next one. I'm sure that Arnold can dedicate a day to filming. Then, once his term is up, return to making the rrest of the trilogy. Even though he will be up there in age, Harrison Ford seemed to pull it off at 66 and Arnold doesn't have a "real" personality so it won't feel as pushed.

And when I said Arnold doesn't have a real personality, I meant his character, just for clarification.

what reminded him of charlie's angels? the cameo by bernie mac as bosley, of course, when he dispatched christian bale. and the women in bikinis with the massive rpgs. wait. i think i just came up with a better movie. it's too bad russ meyer is dead--he could've directed it. "Terminator 4: Wild Terminators of the Naked West." you can't tell me that doesn't sound infinitely better than "Terminator: Salvation."

Bale is going to make this movie great no matter what, because what he touches turns to gold. He will bring this franchise back just like batman.

. . . I'll make this announcement,

This new Terminator movie, especially with McG and PG-13 rating, looks awful. So awful, I'm no longer going to click on anything involving it. I just hope it goes away as fast as possible. My favorite actor of all time is Toshiro Mifune, and he could be the Bale Character, and I still wouldn't care! This film looks that awful. No emotion. I love real ice cream. High Fructose Corn Syrup should NEVER be added to ice cream.
