Goyer's Unborn Adds Five
A rabbi, a Holocaust survivor, and a vengeful spirit walk into a bar...
Never one to take much time off between projects, Jumper and The Dark Knight writer David S. Goyer is already assembling the cast of his next film, Unborn.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "supernatural thriller," produced by Platinum Dunes, has added Meagan Good, Carla Gugino, Jane Alexander, Idris Elba, and Rhys Coiro to a cast that already included Gary Oldman and Odette Yustman. Goyer will direct from his script, which has Yustman playing a girl "tormented by the soul of a boy who died in the Holocaust." From the article:
Good ("The Love Guru") will play the girl's best friend, and Gugino ("Spy Kids") has been cast as her mother. Alexander will play a Holocaust survivor whose brother's spirit is returning. Elba ("American Gangster") will play a priest who helps Rabbi Oldman perform exorcisms. Coiro (HBO's "Entourage") is the college professor of Yustman's character, and Cam Gigandet will play her boyfriend.
Principal photography for Unborn started yesterday in Chicago.

on Mar 06 2008 10:34 AM Goyer is an excellent script writer, but his directed films leave a lot to be desired, although this film does have Gary Oldman so its going to at least be well acted. talk movies at itsfilmtastic.co.uk (Reply to this) |
![]() on Mar 06 2008 03:17 PM Goyer definitely gives the impression that he has an army of ghostwriters on his team because he is so up and down. Dark City then Nick Fury Agent of Shield?! Blade 1 and 2 and then he writes and directs Blade Trinity?! I like dude but I don't get him at all. (Reply to this) |
