New Dark Knight, Iron Man Images!
¿Donde esta los stills?
by Jeff Giles | December 10, 2007
Discuss Article
So, uh...anybody feel like looking at new stills and/or artwork from The Dark Knight and Iron Man?

No? Yeah, we didn't think so. But just in case, here's a link to a story published by Uruloki, a Spanish-language horror, fantasy, and comics blog. Our Spanish is a little rusty, but these all appear to be images from the current issue of CinéLive, and offer advance looks at Christian Bale (who models the new Batsuit on the cover) and Heath Ledger in Dark Knight action, as well as some promotional Iron Man artwork.

Go on. Take a look!

We've already seen two of the Batman and Joker images before, but they still look awesome.

WARNING: To anyone in the Virginia-D.C.-Maryland area who intends to go to IMAX to see the 6-minute preview of Dark Knight w/I Am Legend:

I have just contacted the main line for the 4 IMAX theaters in the tri-state region, and NONE of them will be showing the 6-minute preview!! Repeat: NONE of them! The people at the main phone line(877-932-4629) didn't know why exactly, but all they could tell me was that those theaters(Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in VA, Samuel C. Johnson & Lockheed Martin in D.C. and IMAX Maryland) simply WEREN'T CHOSEN to have the preview(and the VA location isn't in 3-D anyway)!

If you live in these areas and are as outraged as I am, feel free to contact Info@imax.com and express your outrage at this snubbing!

Umm...Dark Knight isn't going to be in 3D anyways, so why does it matter? Neither is I am Legend....yeah. Anyways, that sucks for the Virginians, come to Los Angeles and enjoy it at the Bridge theatre here!

less is more with the bat suit. this new one is way too flashy and complex. but if the batman fight coreography is anything like begins, you won't be able to see crap anyways. all i saw was a bunch of black cape swooshing around with some punching and groaning sound effects. i imagine TDK will be better in most respects, but the suit they had for begins was fine... when you could actually make it out.

I think the new suit looks better. And people really need flashy redefined for them.

Batman Forever/ Batman & Robin-Flashy

Dark Knight-Not flashy. Not even close.

I like it. And I did like the suit in Begins, but it was a bit too bulky I thought. This one looks better and will be easier to move in.

LincolnFX:

The reason for the message to people in the DC/Maryland/VA area is because the 6-minute preview only runs with I Am Legend at IMAX theaters. The regular trailer is what you'll see in standard cinemas.

Dahluzz is right about the fighting sequences. That was one of my biggest pet peeves from the first movie. The director explained that it better suited Batman's fighting style against multiple attackers, but it just didn't work for me. I want to see close-ups of faces getting smashed in by an over-aggressive Batman.
The only other thing that I would have cut out was Batman saying to the homeless Boris the Blade, "Nice coat", as if Boris had just been sitting around warming his hands in a trash fire while Batman attacked 5 guys with machine guns. Super lame.
This new costume is waaaaayy too tech-y. I could live with everything, but I don't like the chest. He might as well be ironman at this point. I'm not really into the gizmo batman, I just want to see him stomp on some clowns. He doesn't need to go to Q at the beginning of every movie to get his new, elaborate spy gear.
Hey "thereign", at least your IMAX can actually play movies. Here in Omaha (pop. 500,000) our IMAX can only play movies up to 45 minutes. I called and bitched at them when Superman was playing on IMAX's in smaller markets. Lucky for me Superman kind of sucked anyway.

okay, have I missed something in regards to the batman logo? On Batman's belt it's the same logo as in the upper left hand corner of the magazine but it's not even close to any batman logo I've ever seen. Can anyone explain this?

It's not a logo, it's just what happens to be on Batman's belt and the mag decided to put it on their cover.
