It has the earmarks of a lavish, high budget production for an all-star cast but the way it's done reminds me of the first time I tried to get up on skis.

The important and intriguing issue of classified global audio surveillance of private citizens is all but garbled in The Listening.

Top CriticThe Listening isn’t really a thriller -- it’s mostly a droning conspiracy theory dressed up in moderately exotic locales, high-tech jargon and a moralizing spying-is-wrong message.
