Twilighters, ready your pocketbooks! As fan anticipation builds for New Moon, the 2009 sequel to last November's hit vampire romance Twilight, Summit Home Entertainment has announced DVD details for Twilight's spring home video debut. Plus, get your first look at NECA's Edward Cullen action figure!
The 2-Disc Twilight DVD and Blu-ray will include extended and deleted scenes (more Edward and Bella!), music videos by Linkin Park, Paramore, and Stephenie Meyer favorite, Muse, an audio commentary by director Catherine Hardwicke and stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and a seven-part documentary on the making of the film. If you were one of the thousands of screaming teenage girls at last year's packed Comic-Con panel, you might catch a glimpse of yourself in a featurette on the Comic-Con phenomenon.
Twilight will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on Saturday, March 21.
Full details:
Audio Commentary by director Catherine Hardwicke, and stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart
Five Extended Scenes with introductions by the director

The Adventure Begins: The Journey from Page to Screen - A seven-part documentary

Meanwhile, Twilighters can get ready to own their own mini Twilight dolls. NECA has unveiled the first images of their 7" Edward Cullen "action" figure -- built to scowl handsomely and emote, though tree-climbing functionality has yet to be determined -- complete with the Cullen family crest and Edward's signature hair. Splitter writes: on Jan 15 2009 12:17 PM If the interviews when the movie were any hint, the commentary could be amazingly entertaining. Catherine with her "I did my best on this movie, dammit!", Robert with his "seriously, will someone explain the appeal of this movie?" and Kristin's "this movie's just a paycheck to me"... it could be brilliant. Here's hoping the RiffTrax will soon follow. (Reply to this) |

On the back of his head He had another face Was it a woman's face Or a young girl They said to remove it would kill him So poor Edward was doomed The Face could laugh and cry It was his Devil twin And at night she spoke to him Of things heard only in hell They were impossible to separate Chained together for life Finally the bell tolled his doom He took a suit of rooms And hung himself and her From the balcony irons Some still believe he was freed from her But i knew her too well I say she drove him to suicide And took Poor Edward to Hell (Reply to this) |

nogard46 writes: on Jan 16 2009 09:05 AM regardless what everyone says the movie is one of the biggest box office successes ever, more than TDK more than titanic, yes it is and it is a fact considering the cost to earings ratio, Twilight is an incredible success, for a movie which cost $40 mil and has made over $300 mil, worldwide, probably nearing $400mil when its all said and done, that would make it a ten fold profit. Kudos on that. (Reply to this) |

RoadDogXVIII writes: on Jan 16 2009 10:47 AM In reply to this comment (#2257554) I know. Like I said, I wanted it to be better than "Bolt" when it opened with it that weekend. But, lo, it became a Hot Topic version of an elongated Disney Channel movie. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart channeled the vapid likes of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens. Yeah, I said it. Anyone who loves those two (the latter couple, I mean) deserve to be miserable (I hear it's not pre-teens, but adults as well. YIKES!) (Reply to this) |
