Security corrals the kids traveling without parents into a large, windowless room. Sans supervision, the area quickly descends into a sugar-fueled LORD OF THE FLIES frenzy, with food fights substituting for any real violence. Five kids attempt to escape: awkward-but-normal teen Spencer (Dyllan Christopher), Harvard-bound brain Charlie (Tyler James Williams), gentle giant Beef (Brett Kelly), rebel Donna (Quinn Shephard), and rich girl Grace (Gina Mantegna). Thwarted by the holiday-hating head of passenger relations (Lewis Black) and an unlucky underling (Wilmer Valderama), the kids try to salvage their Christmas holiday. Black (THE DAILY SHOW WITH JOHN STEWART) is perfectly cast as the acerbic villain. Though he has toned down his barbs from his normal rage-spewing routine (this is family fare, after all), he's still one of the highlights of the film. Each of the child actors has had a lot of experience for their age, and it shows here. Williams is the title character in EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS, and he shines as the uptight member of the bunch. With hints of HOME ALONE and THE BREAKFAST CLUB, UNACCOMPANIED MINORS appeals to the whole family. For kids, there are plenty of giggle-inducing moments to please. Meanwhile, their parents will enjoy playing spot the celebrity with cameos by actors from KIDS IN THE HALL, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT, and NBC's THE OFFICE. Director Paul Feig is best known for his sitcom work, and his former stars show up to help him here. With humor and a little heart, UNACCOMPANIED MINORS is a tasty holiday treat. [More]

Reviews for Unaccompanied Minors
A pretty agreeable farce but it could have done with sharper lines and more spontaneous kids.
There are fragments of good comedy packed amidst the many forgettable scenes that you've seen a dozen times before in a dozen other forgettable comedies
Why, and at what point, did Feig choose to ally himself with the bullies of the world and substitute broad stereotype for insight into character?
Unexpectedly warm and huggable, and far funnier than you'd ever guess... one of the wittiest, most endearing holiday films in recent memory.
Designed only for the youngest of children, who might be roused by the silly action, or perhaps for John Hughes, who might delight in the fact that his influence continues to color the landscape.
Feig's sympathies toward young misfits are still thankfully evident, but the mature, realistic approach that made 'Freaks and Geeks' so refreshing is missing here.
Irresponsible content notwithstanding, it’s the low standard of filmmaking that really defies belief.
It's clear very early on that Warner Bros. wanted less a thoughtful film about divorce or coming of age than a chipper family pick-me-up. And thus we have Unaccompanied Minors, which is one-third heart and two-thirds cheese.
'It's like Lord Of The Flies in here!' cries nerdy teen Spencer (Dyllan Christopher) when he sees the film's quarantined crew, which is as clever as Paul Feig's movie gets.
Produzido para funcionar como comédia leve e divertida, Menores Desacompanhados só conseguiu me deixar de mau humor.
