Reviews for Vicky Cristina Barcelona
we're really just watching neurotic New Yorkers displaced to the Spanish countryside
Nine times out of 10, when a movie kicks off with a voiceover, you can bank on it being a pretty lazy film, and this one is no exception.
Possibly distinguished solely for the first PG-13 lesbian smooching on screen ever, the film should be a trite, pleasing guy confection.
Vintage Woody Allen not to be missed, for it's not merely a madcap misadventure, but also a thought-provoking cautionary tale juxtaposing blind adherence to American Puritanical values against more open-minded means of relating.
