Angelina Shows Off Her New (Temporary) Tattoos for Wanted

She seems to have left her shirt at the tattoo parlor.

In a year heavy on comic book adaptations, Timur Bekmambetov's take on Mark Millar's Wanted has been sort of lost in the shuffle -- but nothing grabs people's attention like a little flash of skin from Angelina Jolie.

It helps sell papers, too, which might have something to do with why the Daily Mail ran a story entitled "Angelina Jolie Has Even MORE Tattoos for Racy New Film Role." And did we mention that it usually has a positive effect on website traffic, too?

We're not proud.

There is a story in here somewhere, sort of, and here it is: although Angelina has "13 known tattoos," she felt the need to add some temporary ink to that collection for her role as the assassin known as The Fox in Wanted, and opted for that batch of squiggly lines down her back you see in the picture above.

Beg pardon, but I think you have it backwards. For Americans to see this (for anyone to see it!) and classify it as healthy would speak more to our collective dysfunction. The woman, in this film, in this picture, looks anorexic. Not healthy. You know, like the paper thin models prolifically glorified within these borders, influencing young impressionable girls to starve themselves in their misguided pursuit of "beauty."

She looks like she hasn't eaten in months. If that's "perfect" and "healthy" and, my god, "fine", in your mind, I'd hate to see what you call "fat".

She *is* extraordinary, i will say that. But Monica Bellucci (along with being at least 15-20 pounds heavier)is STUNNING and gets my vote as the most sexist woman in the world.

Jolie is destined to be sexier than almost anybody in her age group till she dies. When I'm 60 I'll probably still be lusting her. Jolie, like me, is an "extomorph". It's simply the body type that we're born with. You can eat like a horse, and only gain weight in the gut. It no use trying to tell her to conform to your standards of beauty. If you want curvy type in Yoko Matsugane in a search engine. Now that's a meat eater.

As a dietician, I must full heartedly disagree with you. About 1% of Americans have Anorexia, where as 60% of Americans are overweight. Let's think about this for a second. Well over 30% of those people are obese. Furthermore, 5 to 7 percent of Americans are morbidly obese. So forget all those anorexics dropping dead (not that many) and lets focus on all the astounding #'s of overweight people dropping dead in this country every day. Of course anorexia is terrible, unattractive, etc, but much less of a problem than you'd try to make it out as. We truly are used to seeing overweight people as most of us are, and that is far more unattractive. It's not a superficial statement, it's a fact. There is nothing pretty about the thousands of people who die yearly from heart disease, diabetes, etc, which has directly resulted from their lack of self control to manage their weight. It truly is an epidemic and trying to knock on someone from the not overweight minority to make the UNHEALTHY majority feel better is getting old. It's not about looks, it's about health. Get the facts and grow up.

As a tattoo artist and movie reviewer, as well as a student of sak yant tattooing (see the Thai Buddhist tattoo on Angelina's shoulder made by Ajarn Noo Ganpai in Pathum Tani in Thailand), i find the irregularly dispersed hotchpotch of a piece by piece patchwork composition exactly that which i recommend my customers not to do.. a balanced harmonious composition is much more aesthetic and eyecatching. Strangely enough though i personally find this chaotic irregular compilation of deliberate body markings that tell a story of the changes in life and attitude that happen to us on our life's journey to be extremely attractive and sexy, as well as what i call a "real tattoo" - meaning that the person who doesnt dare to get a small tattoo first , rather waits to get the perfect body suit with a preconcieved perfection thought out to completion before ever having gone under a needle (and there are many followers of fashion these days who de exactly that), does not really wish to be marked with the scars of change and remembrance as well as being tattooed reminders of our secret codes of conduct. The person who has the perfect tattoo as the first one is a fashion follower, not a tattoo fan.. a tattoo fan cannot resist the impulse on a whim to mark oneself as a rite of passage from one inner change to the next... Angelina, is obviously an authentic person in an enviroment that ios full of plasticity, backstabbers, papparazi and other such unenlightened mindsets. I have seen here interviewed and it was obvious that she was innerly laughing at the whole plastic hype and i am sure she almost breaks her ribs laughing at the synthetic hollywood enviroment.
her tattoos tell of a sensitive person with a very large heart - deeply scarred by some unknown to me early lessons in life.
Her compassion for children and animals is a sign of her will to take something from the empty senseless (but stinking rich) hollywood life and make something worthwile out of it with her charity and aid activities.

I love her tattoos i find the baroque tribal very aesthetic but my most favourite are the "Yant Haa Taew" on her left shoulder (which i have also learned to tattoo from a monk) and the 2 sarigaa birds on her spine below the nape of the neck (you cant see they are birds in this foto as it is too small)
The paradise, or "love birds" are to increment compassion and love withing the family/between husband and wife. It is also used as a charm to attract the opposite sex, or even a particular person.
