Lohan Longs to be "Wonder Woman"?
by Scott Weinberg | March 24, 2006
Discuss Article
JoBlo points us towards a goofy little piece from the British tabloids, one that says Lindsay Lohan would love to play Wonder Woman in Joss Whedon's upcoming adaptation. Hm. Anyone out there see LL as WW? Didn't think so.

"The Sun quotes her as saying in regards to what she'd like to work on in the future, "WONDER WOMAN would be cool. I'm trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I've done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me. Because most of the things that I've done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted.""
--

I suspect that somewhere Joss Whedon is chuckling to himself while thinking "not a shot in hell, girly." (Nothing against Lohan, really, but the idea of her playing Wonder Woman is like Halle Berry playing Catwoman.)

Check out the full story at JoBlo's, and be sure not to miss the extra pic of Ms. Lohan's most recent wardrobe malfunction.

I haven't had a good laugh like that in a while. I'll admit that back in the late 80's (I'm dating myself here) I was in dismay when Michael Keaton was announced as Batman, but was proven wrong about his ability to play the part. Somehow, though, I do not see that happening in this situation. There is nothing in Lindsay Lohan that screams Wonder Woman at all. For that matter there's nothing there that even screams Wonder Girl. Maybe she can have a walk on role as one of the Amazon's little sisters or something to that effect. Stick to the next Disney direct-to-video sequel for The Love Bug franchise, Lindsay.

This story has been splashed all over the Internet for a few days now, under headlines like "Lindsay Lohan DESPERATE to play Wonder Woman" and other assorted hyperbolic statements. It looks to me like she threw that title out there as an example of something she'd be interested. Calm down, people! Obviously she would never get the part anyway, and obviously she's just another no-talent princess, but let's rein in the overexcited chatter alittle.

Come on now, I think you're being a little harsh here. Just because she's in movies that don't appeal to you doesn't mean she's talentless. I actually rather enjoyed her in Freaky Friday.

That being said, there's no way she could play Wonder Woman, if only because she's nowhere near old enough.

Wonder Woman was a pretty decent comic book, but they made a joke of it with Linda Carter and I think by casting Lindsay Lohan as the new Wonder Woman, they'll finish it off. They now have a chance to finally do justice to Wonder Woman. They should either pick an unknown or follow cgcbooks suggestion by casting Jennifer Connelly. I think that would be a VERY good start!
If it wasn't for her pregnancy and Sin City 2, Angelina Jolie would also be a good choice.

Att. Warner Brothers
Wouldn't it be cool if they let the fans decide who should be the next Wonder Woman? How, you ask? Simple! If the video screen tests of all the actresses being considered for the part were posted on the Warner Brothers web site, we could all have the chance to vote for our favorite one. The one with the most votes will be the lucky winner based on her performance in her screen test. I think that would be the only way to decide who is best qualified for the part by observing her in action. After all, it is the fans going to these films that make or break the box office for these potential Hollywood blockbusters. Anyone else out there agree or disagree? Post your ideas. Thanks for your time.

I would have to say that she has a better chance of getting the role than someone who ACTUALLY deserves it.

My vote would have to be for Morena Baccarin from Firefly and Serenity.

You know, I think a lot of Hollywood's box office problems would be solved with your suggestion. Give us what 'we' want, not what 'they' think we want.

It wasn't william Freaking shakspear, it was seeing Linda Carter shake her hot ass and all that eye candy kicking ass! So please quit fooling and give LL a chance!

I'll tell you one thing that Lindsay Lohan has that screams Wonder Woman: her boobies. Come on, think of it, do you REALLY expect a legit actress to want to take the drastic step back that is playing Wonder Woman? The best we can expect from this movie is some late night cinemax freeze frame entertainment, and in that, Lohan can deliver.

And for the record, Keaton was an abysmal Batman. He was worse than Val Kilmer. Think about that. WORSE THAN VAL KILMER.

Nothing to worry about there is no way that Whedon would possibly have Lohan headlining his movie.

i agree that - while they're very hot - Eva Longoria wouldn't fit as Wonder Woman and neither would Lohan. WW has to be quite tall and statuesque (especially if we're to believe she can throw down alongside Superman and Batman, since they're DC's Big Three), and neither actresses fit the bill body-wise. and unlike Keaton with Batman, the woman playing WW doesn't have around 100 pounds of rubber to double for a physique. a lot of people wanted Lucy Lawless to protray WW back in her Xena days. i don't know whether she'd be willing to take the part or if she's still in Xena-like shape and physique, and i'm not saying that Lawless should be on the top of Whedon's short list or that she should even be considered to play WW at all, i'm just using her as an example of the type of actress they should get. whoever they get to play WW would have to have that kind of body type and physique.

and to any of the people who are saying "(Insert Hot Actress Here) should play Wonder Woman because she's hot and I'd definitely screw her!" - grow the fuck up and try thinking with something other than your boner for a change. just because they're hot and they have big jugs doesn't automatically make them the best choice. just the mere fact that you're basing your decision solely on the fact that you fantasize about having sex with them should disqualify any choice you have in the matter (as if anyone would take you seriously to begin with), since you're likely to stick your penis in anything with a pulse. hell, Paris Hilton is smoking hot, maybe they should get her despite the fact she has no discernable talent of any kind aside from being able to suck like a Hoover.

idiots...

Are you joking?
Are you joking? The only person hotter than Eva Longoria is Jessica Alba. Well maybe Jessica Alba can be Wonder Woman.

P.S. Wonder Woman needs to be attractive, that is the reason why Lucy Lawless will not be Wonder Woman, she looks like a man.
