A guy named O%u2019Malley walked into my dad%u2019s funeral home and said he%u2019d been in mortuaries but never a funeral home before. Another guy told he liked all kinds of music except reggae and rap, he said, %u201Creggae and rap we %u2018rent really musical forms anyway.%u201D Some people carry a view of things being either correct or incorrect. Could I ever trust O%u2019Leary to give Zombie a fair shot? No. If O%u2019Leary was given a choice between someone named John McCain and somebody else named Barak Hussein Obama, I would bet O%u2019Leary would choose the %u201Csomeone%u201D named John McCain and O%u2019Leary would find a plethora of excuses to say a guy named Barak Obama would not be a good choice. The movie Zombie, like the name Obama is %u201Cirregular%u201D to O%u2019Leary and therefore not worthy of as much critical attention as a %u201Cregular%u201D sounding movie like %u201CThe Princess Bride%u201D or John McCain. The magic of Zombie is lost upon O%u2019Leary because O%u2019Leary blinds himself to Zombie%u2019s more interesting details. O%u2019Leary would shoot-down anything I say to defend Zombie. Could an O%u2019Leary vote against a McCain? No. Yet everybody is entitled to his or her opinion.GFT (Reply to this) |
