John Carpenter's "The Fog" is up for a remake, and the man to helm this project is Rupert Wainwright ("Stigmata", Variety reports. According to producer Debra Hill, Wainwright "builds on [the original] and stamps it as his own." In the original, ghosts residing in a fog are out for revenge against the descendants of people who had wronged them. John Carpenter is co-producing, and the movie is set for an Oct. 21, 2005 release.
