Barry Levinson will direct Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, and Anthony LaPaglia in the big screen adaptation of Arthur Miller's play "A View From the Bridge," Variety reports. Anthony LaPaglia will play the role of longshoreman Eddie Carbone, a married man with an unhealthy obsession with his niece. Producer Rob Fried said they'll use the original time period and location of the play for the movie. Andrew Bovell is writing the script.
