Get an Early Taste of Joss Whedon's "Serenity"
According to fan-favorite Joss Whedon, the creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel," the all-new trailer for his big-screen "Firefly" adventure (entitled "Serenity") will debut today at the Apple / Quicktime trailers page at approximately 4:00 PM (eastern). Based on the short-lived, yet widely-admired science fiction series, "Serenity" will be a big-screen adventure that mixes sci-fi adventure with a decidedly Western motif.
The entire cast from the Fox series will be returning for the multiplex adaptation, and that includes Nathan Fillion, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin, and Alan Tudyk. "Serenity" is scheduled to hit theaters on September 30th, but the legions of fans out there are pretty darn excited to see the trailer today.

Very little Kaylee in the trailor :/ and not one shot of Book ? Maybe it's too early yet. September is far off. There are too many "Josh" braglines in there. It made it seem like they were trying to say "God Almighty" made this. The whole "from the mind of" crap smacks of corny. (Reply to this) |

Elessar Oronro writes: on Apr 27 2005 09:57 PM "From the mind of Joss Whedon" is the number one reason I'll be seeing this opening day. I'm a beginning screenwriter, and he's the guy I look up to. Hearing Alan Tudyck say something funny is number two. :-) (Reply to this) |

VoshNarenek writes: on Apr 28 2005 11:08 AM From The Mind of Chuck Norris Yes, "Walker, Texas Ranger" is joining forces with the WWF to create a space western "from the mind of Chuck Norris". It will feature "little ladies" who break out with kung fu when you push them too far or make some comment about womens lib and the big wrestlers will look on shaking their heads saying things like, "uuuuhhhht oh, you did it now, you made her mad. Ya don't want ta make her mad. Hyuck hyuck hyuck hyuck". In the works is a major motion picture version of, "She Spies", "Andromeda" and "Mutant X". "This is a good time for grade B movies based on grade B tv shows", says the studio exec. In the past, only fourth graders would watch this stuff. Hell, when I was in 4th grade I watched 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century' with that little robot that goes, "beedeebeedeebeedeebeedee, Buck!" Today the cult tv nerd ranges from 4th graders all the way up to 40 somethings! I don't know what it means for the cutlure, but it's great for our coffers"! Critics were not available for comment saying they can't talk with stomachs so full of nervous bile and depression for an entire culture of emotionally immature, undiscerning, over grown children. LilAlex writes: on Apr 28 2005 09:21 PM In reply to this comment (#821684) You've obviously never watched Firefly. River is the shit. < Which is why Fox ALWAYS f's up a good thing. They never get it. The above line prooves that. Firefly has a cult following because it was/is good, something the Paris Hilton crowd couldn't wrap their heads around. Has zero to do with nerds. (Reply to this) |

VoshNarenek writes: on May 05 2005 10:07 AM In reply to this comment (#821688) Never? X-Files? The Simpsons? And ABC has "Lost" and "Alias"; J.J. Abrams is a genius. Whedon plays to cult tv nerds who enjoy B grade stuff. Did you watch the trailer!? Looks like the Paris Hilton crowd is the target audience - or at least those nerds who lust after a hot body and don't care that the person in it is shallow or Eva Braun, as long as she's hot and knows kung fu...
