Trailer Bulletin: "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe"

Right here at Rotten Tomatoes you can enjoy the all-new trailer for the upcoming and highly anticipated movie version of C.S. Lewis' "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe." Based on the first chapter of the beloved literary series, the film "follows the exploits of the four Pevensie siblings - Lucy, Edmund, Susan and Peter - in World War II England who enter the world of Narnia through...

...a magical wardrobe while playing a game of 'hide-and-seek' in the rural country home of an elderly professor. Once there, the children discover a charming, peaceful land inhabited by talking beasts, dwarfs, fauns, centaurs and giants that has become a world cursed to eternal winter by the evil White Witch, Jadis." Andrew Adamson ("Shrek") is directing a cast that includes Tilda Swinton ("Constantine"), Rupert Everett ("An Ideal Husband"), and Jim Broadbent ("Moulin Rouge"). The Disney production is set to his theaters on December 9th ... with several sequels to follow, eventually.

Too much special effects! I miss the old days when they used anamatronics, and other similar things in movies. I know you've got to use them some of the time. The computer animation just ends up looking dated after a while, or faker and faker. On a positive note I think the trailer was awesome. Im sure the movie is going to be awesome. I can't wait to see it.

Hopefully Disney won't ruin this like they did with HHGttG. Glad this director has some experience.

Looks like a mixture of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, although the color palette is a little brighter. Looks good.

Even though CG from ten years ago isn't as realistic as it is now, You really think animatronics are the answer???? Yeah, freaking right.

Imagine Jurassic park with a t-rext that can only bob his head because he's a robot.

Imagine Pirates of the Carribean's skeleton's taking two steps and robotically jabbing swords into the air.

Imagine a lighsaber wielding yoda being lifted up by strings, or maybe launched out of a cannon.

Or Imagine Gollum as a pupet, who can only move his eyes, and flalp his jaw.

sure, that's very realistic, man. get with the times. CGI is getting to the point where you won't even know the difference between it and real life.

This flick needs a more convincing trailer or it will surely be overwhelmed by the likes of "Goblet of Fire" and "Kong."

I think animitronics have come farther than you might think. I still remember hearing about how "Free Willy 2" was done all with machines and such, instead of real whales. But hell, you could've fooled me. It all looked real to me. So who knows? They might surprise us.
