Danny Boyle Talks about "Sunshine" and "28 Weeks Later"

Where else would you expect to find your dose of Danny Boyle news other than FilmFocus' Joe Utichi got to share a brief chat with the celebrated director of "Trainspotting," "28 Days Later," and "Millions," and Mr. Boyle shared just a bit of news regarding a pair of his upcoming projects.

Regarding his seriously slick-sounding sci-fi flick "Sunshine," the filmmaker said, "We've done about a year's work on the script and we've just recently got the go-ahead on the film ... So we're just in the process of making some offers to some actors ... We're going to start shooting on August 1st, hopefully ... we have to get it shot by Christmas so then we can edit it in the new year and hopefully it'll be released in the autumn of next year."

And what of the sequel to the fan-fave non-zombie flick "28 Days Later"? "We're hoping to get this Spanish director, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, to direct it ... it's a lovely idea, and a very simple idea that the country has been left moribund, just for the virus to die out. It's been quarantined. And then the Americans arrive to reboot the island and get everything going again. But of course not everything goes as planned, as you'd expect." Dear Retard,
In the movie 28 Days Later... there are no zombies what so ever. When you get herpes you do not die and just walk around. Viruses do not kill you. "Rage" is a virus that infected London and the rest of the UK in the film. It overwhelmed your body with uncontrolable rage. Noone was dead. thus there were no zombies. So please, never bad mouth danny boyle ever again or ill will cut you open and stuff all of his wonderful movies into your insides. Thank you =]
