Even More Actors Show Up to Boll's "Dungeon"
by Scott Weinberg | July 20, 2005
Discuss Article
Not long ago we brought you the rather outlandish news of Mr. Uwe Boll and his $60 million / allegedly 3-hour adventure movie "Dungeon Siege," and now comes word that we have a head villain -- namely Ray Liotta.

The Hollywood Reporter indicates that Mr. Liotta will play the nefarious baddie known as Gallian. Other newcomers to the cast include former NFL player Brian J. White, German supermodel Eva Padberg, and actor Will Sanderson.

The crazy ensemble cast also boasts names like Leelee Sobieski, Jason Statham, Burt Reynolds, Ron Perlman, Matthew Lillard, and John Rhys-Davies.

Uwe Boll is, of course, the auteur behind such schlock-o-rama favorites as "House of the Dead," "Alone in the Dark," and the upcoming "BloodRayne."

Why do I get the feeling that the entire 60 million budget was used only to lure celebrities into destroying their careers? Or else they just loved Boll's "Cinematic Vision"

Now then, guys, calm down. Can't you see that this is a *good* sign? To whit, if Hollywood will give lots of money to a no-talent idiot like Boll, they'll give lots of money to us, too! All we need to do is learn a funny accent and slap together a really half-arsed screenplay. It'll be a winner, I tell you!

If it's three hours long, the theatres will only be able to show it maybe twice a day and no chain will be stupid enough to have it on more than one screen. I'm pretty sure that this will be the end of cinema, and a dark age will overcome the world.

who the hell is gonna go see a 3 hour movie based on a video game? or ANY 3 hour movie?!?! LOTR was an exception, because they were brilliant films. My turds have more talent that Uwe Boll. At least they are satisfying.

Ill say it again
Any actor who agrees to work with Boll is a whore. Boll's foriegn investors don't care that his movies are excrementally bad, because they still make a ton of money in tax breaks when the movies tank. Anyone who could actually sit through a 3 hour Boll epic would have to be either mentally defective or dead.

Say it ain't so Ron Pearlman. An Uwe Boll flick!! Man, those actors better save every penny they got, for whoring themselves out to this abomination. It will be tough to find work after this.

Uwe, U we baby, U we.... I can't say that I've seen this dude's movies, since they've been so heartily ripped again and again. This dude's pretty awesome though to be able to keep doing it and doing it. He's like the Energizer bunny of so bad, they're really really bad movies.

Just when I thought Burt Reynolds was making another comeback he had to go and hook up with a director who's far worse than Hal Needham.

Dungeon Siege was a really poor game with no plot... I guess for the movie that works for the better since they can just make s|-|it up. Hurray for Hollywood!

how about instead of being assholes and prejudging the movie before it comes out, you all shut the fuck up and wait for it to actually come out, go see it and THEN make up your minds. sounds like an idea to me

How about you go rent the other Uwe Boll (films), then when you are upset you dropped 4 bucks each to rent them, tell me how we should feel bad about dropping $8-$12 watching them in the theatre.

That's sounds like an idea to me you f(antastic) r(ter)

Is this some kind of April fools joke? I really don't understand this at all. These guys are pulling the whole "Producers" stint, maybe its better to make a flop than a hit.
