An interview with the Chinese newspaper Nanfang Daily yielded news of a possible cinematic dream team: Jackie Chan, director Zhang Yimou ("House of Flying Daggers," "Raise the Red Lantern", and, potentially, Jet Li. As noted at www.monkeypeaches.com, Zhang's producer/creative partner Zhang Weiping told the paper that they are at work on the script for the film, which would star Chan but would not be a comedy. Li is also looking to break out of his image, saying he would like to do something beyond martial arts films unless he loved the script. Both Chan and Li have expressed interest in working with one another; Li worked under Zhang's direction in "Hero."
