Trailer Bulletin: Munich
by Scott Weinberg | November 07, 2005
Discuss Article
Say what you will about that Steven Spielberg guy, but he sure is one efficient (and prolific) filmmaker. As if having one of the year's most talked-about blockbusters ("War of the Worlds") wasn't enough, the master movie-maker is intent on getting his historical drama "Munich" into theaters before the end of the year. This trailer is a good indication that he'll make that deadline.

As you probably already know by now, "Munich" is a fact-based drama about a group of Israeli Mossad agents given the harrowing task of scouring the world for 11 Palestinian terrorists, and assassinating every one.

Starring Eric Bana, Daniel Craig, Geoffrey Rush, and Matthieu Kassovitz, "Munich" opens in limited release on 12/23 before going wide on 1/6/06.

I saw the trailer yesterday. I really loved it. Very powerful. I hope the movie is just as powerful.

I hope it will suceed. The preview was jaw dropping in its simplicity, yet maybe that's good. Not to be mean by any means necessary, this is my must see film coming up. The scene where the elderly woman first discusses the plan sent shivers down my spine.

yeah, really good...i know it's still early but since there's not much competition, i think that as it is now, Munich is the frontrunner for this awards season.

I'm really looking forward to this, it should be good. I like all four of the cast members that they mention and Spielberg.

I smell Oscar all over the place... I thought War of the Worlds was whack, but maybe it is because I have some issues with Tom Cruise ^_^. This flick, on the other hand, looks like something from the Spielberg I love.

I recently studied the Israeli response to the Munich Massacre and I must say that if this movie is anything like what I read, this movie will be amazing.

It seems alot of people had issues with Tom Cruise, but you should not let that influence your opinion of the movie. "War of the Worlds" is a great film and deserves another chance on DVD.

Powerful trailer with a great cast of diverse people. War of the Worlds was great and I think Munich looks to be another winner.

I know it does not concern me, but the problem with WOTW was the story. Munich still looks good though
