Get a Peek at a Pair of New Mutants

Head on over to USA Today for a 6-pic gallery of characters from "X-Men 3." Included among the pic parade are Kelsey Grammer's Beast, Ben Foster's Angel ... and director Brett Ratner.

And check back tomorrow, because the very first "X3" trailer SHOULD be available for online consumption by then.

"X-Men 3," as you all now by know, is the latest chapter in the colorfully kinetic X-saga, and the first entry not to be directed by Bryan Singer. So there might be a new director in Brett Ratner ("Rush Hour"), but you can expect (nearly) all of your favorite X-friends to make a return.

Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Halle Berry (Storm), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), James Marsden (Cyclops), Rebecca Romijn (Mystique), Famke Janssen (Jean Grey), Aaron Stanford (Pyro), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus), and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) are back (no Rogue? no Nightcrawler?), and they'll be joined by newcomers Kelsey Grammer (Beast), Vinnie Jones (Juggernaut), Ellen Page (Shadowcat), and Ben Foster as Angel.

Sounds like quite the packed X-party, and one you're invited to attend on May 26th.

I had heard that Rogue was in this film, I hope she is. This is the first time that I've heard it mentioned that Pyro was back though.

Well, I can't say I'm disappointed at the look of Beast. But I can't say he looks spectacular either.

I am not to excited about the film.. A new director? A new look to the mutants?

I know we could always use change, but I hope Ratner doesn't bring those costumes from the Comic onto the screen..

And about Beast... Well, I don't really know yet.. I kinda have to hear his voice in the movie and see how well Grammar can pull him off.

Kelsey Grammers voice as Fraiser always reminded me exactly like the voice from the X-Men Animated Series, it is a perfect fit. He does look a little goofy though, Ben Foster has always been good in SFU, hopefully he can pull of Archangel

Umm...
Hmm. Well... from an acting/voice perspective I have always thought Kelsey Grammer would do Beast very well, but was very hesitant in that I thought he would still look like "Kelsey Grammer" somehow. So the picture of Beast is great, in a way, because man does that not look like the actor at all. But I am not thrilled by the result - maybe cause it looks like a blue Wolverine. Jury's still out here.

On the directing side, I am not comfortable with the number of changes being made to the production of the film, but I do think Ratner is more than capable of helming this.

Just watched the new trailer...
I would say that the film looks promising. Goes back to the mutants as troublemakers thing. The "new" outfits are tasteful too. Of course, Beast DOES look like Kelsey Grammer, but I'm not sure that this is going to be a bad thing. I'm very pleased with his overall look, and the voice should just add to it. Archangel looks cool too. Although... I get this MI:2 vibe from the trailer for some reason... Ah, well, prolly nothing. I'm looking forward to this movie.
