Emmerich Enlists a Few Youths for "B.C." Duty
Flashy director Roland Emmerich has begun casting his next epic, the ancient history action tale entitled "10,000 B.C." The first actors aboard will be Steven Strait and Camilla Belle, a pair of up & comers last seen in "Sky High" and "When a Stranger Calls," respectively.

The film centers on a young tribal mammoth hunter (Strait) at the dawn of modern man as he embarks on an epic journey through uncharted territory to secure the future of his dying tribe. In the process, he saves the one he loves (Belle). Production will begin in the spring in South Africa and Namibia."

Roland Emmerich is the mad German behind "The Day After Tomorrow," "Godzilla," and "Independence Day."
