Trailer Bulletin: Little Miss Sunshine
by Scott Weinberg | March 21, 2006

Click right here for the all-new trailer to Fox Searchlight's "Little Miss Sunshine," the dysfunctional family comedy that caused a mini-sensation at this year's Sundance Film Festival ... and not just because it stars Steve Carell.

The plot's about "a family determined to get their young daughter into the finals of a beauty pageant take a cross-country trip in their VW bus," but I was among the Sundancers who really enjoyed this R-rated ensem-com, so believe me when I say the skimpy synopsis doesn't do the flick justice.

Co-starring alongside Mr. Carell (who plays a downbeat & suicidal dude) are Greg Kinnear, Toni Collette, Alan Arkin, and the lovable Abigail Breslin as the aspiring beauty queen. "LMS" was directed by longtime video helmers Jonathan Dayton & Valerie Faris, and written by first-timer Michael Arndt. The flick opens on July 28th.
