WB sent a press release to ComingSoon.net to let them (and us) know that you can now download a new screensaver over at the official site for Darren Aronofsky's The Fountain. Personally, I can do without the desktop gizmos; I just wanna see this darn movie already!

"Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed a new screensaver for Darren Aronofsky's upcoming sci-fi fantasy The Fountain, starring Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz, at the film's official website.

Opening in October, The Fountain is an odyssey about one man's thousand-year struggle to save the woman he loves. His epic journey begins in 16th century Spain, where conquistador Tomas Creo (Jackman) commences his search for the Tree of Life, the legendary entity believed to grant eternal life to those who drink of its sap. As modern-day scientist Tommy Creo, he desperately struggles to find a cure for the cancer that is killing his beloved wife Isabel (Weisz). Traveling through deep space as a 26th century astronaut, Tom begins to grasp the mysteries of life that have consumed him for more than a century.

Ellen Burstyn, Sean Gullette, Sean Patrick Thomas and Donna Murphy also star."

I agree... instead of a desktop gizmo gives us at least a decent trailer, not the teaser that is around ! This looks like the sci-fi flick not to be missed of the year.

also, I was just reading The Hollywood Reporter 2 days ago, and I found out that the film has been rated R for some violence.
Sounds pretty tame for an R rating.
Still, can't wait to see this(awesome, Tenacious D and The Fountain all in one month).
