Lindsay Lohan is ... Speechless!
by Scott Weinberg | April 28, 2006
Discuss Article
Lindsay Lohan and Adrien Brody have signed on to star in an indie rom-com called "Speechless," which I can only assume is NOT a remake of the deservingly forgotten 1994 rom-com starring Michael Keaton and Geena Davis. "Saved!" creator Brian Dannelly is writing and directing.

According to Variety, "Project, previously known as "The Guided Man," is a modern Cyrano de Bergerac story about an introverted man (Brody) who is invited to give a speech at his childhood friend's wedding and turns to a service that allows someone -- played by Lohan -- to speak through him."

Production on "Speechless" will get underway later this year.

A modern Cyrano de Bergerac story. That is very original.

How does a movie starring two established Hollywood actors qualify as "indie"? It is already certain that a major studio will distribute it, so you know it isn't exactly going to be pushing new boundaries... that's not what romantic comedies are for, anyway. The indie allure is full of crap. With all that said, if she gets naked, I'm game. Heh.

are you all forgetting that Brian Dannelly, the writer/director of "Saved!" is attatched? i spose you think that film didnt push any boundaries either? so thats why the vatican tried to have it banned!!!!! this sounds okay, and Lohan isnt really a bad actress

I agree Honeycomb. Lohan isn't a bad actress but she's very much a hit-or-miss actress. For every Mean Girls there's a Herbie: Fully Loaded. I like Brody and the premise sounds interesting so I might see it but I'd have to see a trailer first!
