Halle Berry Ponders a "Catwoman 2"
by Scott Weinberg | May 15, 2006
Discuss Article
When asked in a recent interview if she'd be willing to sign on for a "Catwoman 2," Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry ... actually said something OTHER than "Are you kidding me?" or "Don't be insane." As a matter of fact, she actually sounded a little interested in the idea!!

Latino Review has a brief interview segment with the lovely Ms. Berry, who's now making the press rounds for "X-Men: The Last Stand." When interviewer Kellvin Chavez got around to the "Catwoman" chatter, here's what Halle had to say:

"It was what it was but I know if we had a chance to do it again I know we'd make it better. We'll make a better story and have a better villain. I always thought we should've had a better villain than a woman who's face cracked off, but that's the past. I'm over it. (Laughs) But I would do it, I loved being Catwoman." replied Berry.

Berry continues "But if they seriously said 'We want to do another one and here's how we're going to make it better because we learned from the mistakes.' I would because I believe we could make it better. I think Catwoman is a great character that maybe wasn't presented in the right way."

Someone should take her Oscar away
I would think, as an actor with a descent career in movies, that Halle Berry would want to get as far away from Catwoman as she possibly could. I imagine that she would hope the topic never came up in conversation. And maybe, if she was lucky, she would make a lot of other good movies and people would forget that she was ever in Catwoman. Instead, she wants to make a second one?!? Seriously?

Well, she sounds like she wants to make a better one. Maybe they'll dump Pitof and get someone like Christopher Nolan to direct it.

Christopher Nolan can't do everything!!!
The solution is always "give it to Christopher Nolan"

Yeah, here's a better way: cast Michelle Pfeiffer and make the movie 12 years ago.

Berry HAD her chance, she failed.

Cast someone new, get a new writer, new director, new everything. Start over. Use the COMICS to write the story.

If Halle Berry wanders on set, shoot to kill. I repeat, SHOOT TO KILL.

I think that her Oscar should be taken away, too. First off, I don't think that she deserved it when they gave it to her. Since her performance, she has done nothing to prove that she is an actress worthy of good ol Oscar. Yet, she is not the only one that needs to have the Oscar taken away. I am sure that everyone can think of a few.

As for a new Catwoman, no thanks. It is the biggest loser of the comic book realm as far as budget to domestic gross comparison. It lost more money than Elektra!!

Well come on guys, at least she had a decent answer. She didnt slam the movie and she didnt praise it either. She said what she didnt like and how if they changed that, she would definatly do another one. Thats pretty respectable.

BTW, if the second one starred her and it was a porno, it would have probably grossed more then the original catwoman did. I would watch it. alot.

respectable to the movie? well, considering she called it a "piece of shit" at the Razzie Awards, i wouldn't call that respectable.
now that she IS trying to be respectable to it, maybe she is hard up for work, now that X3 is done and over with.

It could work if they actually used some of the comic villians and could tie it together with the Batman Begins series because at the end of the first one the prisoners had escaped and were not caught. They have a lot to work with if the do not mess it up.
