"Fountain" Gets Bumped Back a Month
by Scott Weinberg | July 27, 2006
Discuss Article
Generally when a movie gets "bumped back," it's a bad sign. But when a studio pushes a flick closer to Award-Bait Season, it's usually a sign of confidence. (Or wishful thinking.) Anyway, those of us who can't wait to see Darren Aronofsky's "The Fountain" will simply have to wait ... an extra month.

The crazy-looking romantic sci-fi epic was (most recently) scheduled for an October 13th release date, but will now make its debut on November 22nd. The film stars Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz.

Thanks to JoBlo for the tip.

they also bumped up the screen count... and its right before thanksgiving weekend... they have hope also, it seems, that it will be able to make more money at the box office.

:(

Man, October will be a slightly less interesting month for movies (although there's still a fair share of October films I'm looking forward to), and I'm dying to see THE FOUNTAIN.

This film does look promising. The bump shouldn't be to much of a problem, I figure anyway. If we all remember "V for Vendetta" got bumped back four months, and it was incredible!

Dammit, why did they have to bump it to right after Casino Royale opens?

Oh man this might actually be better then Independence Day after seeing this trailor. I do not think they can match the heat that Vivica and Will had though.
