Trailer Bulletin: Jeff Bridges in "The Amateurs"
OK, so the concept is a little silly (it's about a bunch of small-town guys who band together to direct an "adult film"), but if you're a big fan of ensemble-type comedy and you have a soft spot for colorful character actors, "The Amateurs" is one you might want to add to your Netflix list right now.
Written and directed by Michael Traeger (he wrote "Big Man on Campus" many moons ago), "The Amateurs" stars (get this) Jeff Bridges, Tim Blake Nelson, Joe Pantoliano, Ted Danson, William Fichtner, Patrick Fugit, Glenne Headly, Jeanne Tripplehorn, and Lauren Graham.

on Aug 07 2006 12:02 PM Wow! That's some impressive cast! I'm still without an opinion regarding the actual film . . . but it might turn out to be okay. Yeah, and Lauren Graham definitely has the "it" factor! She's like a friggin charisma magnet! I hope she gets some great film roles in the next few years. She's way underused in features and deserves a few substantial parts outside the "Gilmore Girls" fold. (Reply to this) |
