Jim Carrey & Cameron Diaz, Together Again?
by Scott Weinberg | September 06, 2006
Discuss Article
The last time we saw Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz together, it was during her big breakout in 1994's "The Mask," and now comes word that the comic duo will soon be getting back together again...

According to Filmjerk, Carrey and Diaz will reunite to do a remake of a French comedy called "A Little Game Without Consequence," which is about a longtime romantic couple who fake their break-up to see how their friends will react -- only to have everyone tell them it was a great move. Heh.

The director on "Consequence" will be Gabriele Muccino, whose "The Pursuit of Happyness" (starring Will Smith) hits theaters in December. Filmjerk says the new comedy will start production in October. Click here for the full report.

I find myself never doubting anything Jim Carrey. Full-well-knowing that he made the Majestic, I stick to this mantra. The strange part is that I can barely stand his really old slapstick from the early days. At a certain point, I began to anticipate his movies not to laugh like a jackass, but like they were actual films. Is this effect from a) shock at his actualyl having self-control in movies or b) truly deserved as he is one of the more misunderstood talents of his time? I dunno. But at the very least, no one can manhandle themselves in a bathroom like this guy (except maybe Ed Norton).

Sounds pretty damn sweet, and I really like both of them. I can hardly wait.

Usually people jump on remakes with the most colorful curse words they can come up with.

I, for one, am hoping this will compensate for the incredibly dull Fun with Dick and Jane.
